FAQ's
CAN I BRING MY DOG?

Your dog would be more than welcome to join us on the workshop, as long as they are well behaved and won't eat all of the food! The only exception to this will be on our Truffle Hunt workshops.

ARE YOUR WORKSHOPS CHILD-FRIENDLY?

Yes! Children are more than welcome to come along but must be under the supervision of their parent or responsible adult at all times whilst on the workshop. Please note that some of the routes may be uphill so may not be suitable for very young children unless you are happy to carry them while foraging.

ARE YOUR WORKSHOPS SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS?

Due to the nature of where the workshops take place, Fern cannot guarantee that all paths/routes will be suitable for either wheelchairs or pushchairs. Please get in touch with a specific workshop date to find out more.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

"There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing choices". Please do check the weather forecast ahead of your workshop and dress for the weather.

What to wear depends hugely on which workshop you are booked onto and during which season. As a general rule, walking boots and long trousers are suitable for seasonal forages (Spring/Autumn, etc). For any workshops that require specific outfits, for example, Seaweed & Spa, you will be emailed a 'what to wear / what to bring' list.
.

What should I wear if it's raining?

Full waterproofs will ensure your comfort in wet weather. We would always recommend bringing a change of clothes with you

WHAT IF I HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

We are happy to cater for Vegan diets, however, we are unable to fully cater for Gluten-free/ Coeliac diets on our public workshops. There will always be something wild for you to taste and try but the main component of many of our meals tends to be freshly made bread or pasta. You might like to bring something along with you that can go alongside some wild nibbles!

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Booking Cancellation / Refunds

If you cannot attend/wish to cancel your booking or would like to transfer your place onto another workshop, we request at least 4 weeks prior notice by email in order to give you a refund or to reschedule you onto another workshop (this also applies to those who have workshop credit.)
For cancellation requests within 4 weeks of your workshop, it is your own responsibility to re-sell your workshop place and no refunds or reschedules will be given. You will also need to inform us of the change and provide us with an email address so the new attendee can be contacted.

If in exceptionally rare circumstances, Fern may have to cancel events due to adverse weather conditions. In this case, all guests will be offered a full refund, an alternative workshop date or workshop 'credit' to be used on another workshop of their choosing. If you wish to transfer to a workshop with a higher cost, you will be asked to pay the difference.

**For bookings made via Paypal, we will be able to offer a refund, but it will be issued minus the admin fee charged by Paypal.

For online workshops, refunds are not available. If you cannot attend the live zoom class, a recording will be sent to you.

Changes To Workshop Leader

Our general workshops may be hosted by any of our foraging leaders. Only workshops with the title including 'with Fern' are specifically planned to be hosted by Fern. If on the rare occasion due to unforeseen reasons Fern is unable to host the workshop titled 'with Fern', the event will go ahead as planned and will be run by one of her experienced foraging team instead. No refunds or reschedules will be given in this instance.

Associated Travel / Accommodation Costs

Any associated costs surrounding guests planned attendance of the foraging day including travel and accommodation will not be the responsibility of Foraged By Fern in the situation of a workshop cancellation. Guests take these additional costs on at their own risk. If this concerns you, you may wish to consider taking out travel insurance to cover the trip in the event of cancellation.

Photos & Film

Photography and film are occasionally taken during public workshops, to be used for marketing purposes. If you have any objection to having your image used, please do let us know upon booking or during the workshop.

Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions

Terms of Use

Vouchers cannot be redeemed through our bookings services at this time. The bearer of a gift voucher should choose an available workshop from our website and email hello@foragedbyfern.com to book. The bearer of the gift voucher will be asked for the unique order number that came with the voucher to redeem the voucher. The gift voucher may not be redeemable if that number cannot be found.

Promotional codes cannot be used in conjuncture with gift vouchers. Vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

In the unlikely event that an event booked with a gift voucher is cancelled, the gift voucher will be extended by another 12 months from the date of cancellation.

No refunds will be given on gift vouchers.

Availability

Vouchers do not guarantee spaces on any specific course, at any specific venue, or during any specific season. It is the responsibility of the voucher holder to ensure they allow enough time to make a booking before courses fill up or their voucher expires. We have 4 times the amount of workshop spaces available as we have gift vouchers on sale to ensure this is possible.

Please note that foraging workshops run mainly seasonally from Spring to Autumn, with very few workshops in winter. Autumn is also a very busy time and workshops are in high demand. It is the voucher holders responsibility to ensure they book in good time before the voucher has expired. We recommend early booking for autumn workshops. If you don’t book early enough there may not be any more courses scheduled within the remaining validity of your voucher. Gift vouchers are non-refundable, if you don’t use your voucher or book a course in time it cannot be extended or exchanged for goods or anything else.

Remaining Balance
No remaining balance from gift vouchers can be refunded, however remaining balance after booking a workshop can but put towards another workshop.
